Force Undo Check-Out (Available in GM 2.1)


Force Undo Check-Out allows an authorized user to force check out a document that is being check out by another user. The changes made to the document by check out user will be reverted back when an authorized user force check out the document. This option is enabled only to the users who are part of Updoc Security in Configuration application.

Steps to Provide Force Check-Out security to a user
1. Access configuration application and click on Entities.
2. Select Updoc Security table from the list of tables.
3. Click on Add New button.
4. Enter the following fields to provide security to a User.
  • Security Type: Select Force Check-Out from the drop down.
  • Entity Type ID: If User doesn't enter any specific Entity Type ID then this security will be applied to all the Entity Types in an Entities application
  • User Name: Enter the short username of the user to whom you want to grant permission.
  • Active: Click on the box to make it active.
  • Description: Enter the description.
